Doug's turn to blag a decent hire car in Phoenix ! It's now a competition - here's Susan outside AJ's surely the finest food store ever? - picked up Pyrat rum and off we go. Also checking out apartments at the Pointe. We love Phoenix. The climate this time of year suits us - and there's horseracing, hoops, baseball, plus the pool of course!

Here's Doug at Turf Paradise, his spiritual home in Arizona - 2 days racing with bad losses though, so don't know what he's grinning for !

.....compromise never really fits Doug so can't see him doing this :-)) - it is just one man's struggle against reality. We have spent a lot of time in London lately, doing ethnic sort of things. A hobo complimented Doug on his raincoat (!). Now preparing for the next long trip to northern CA and the coast road north of San Fransisco. Doug will be travelling by bike with a double bass on his back, of course
